Meet the Library Board

Don Minear is a second generation library board member and is the current board chairman. Appointed in 1997, he has also served as vice chairman and financial secretary. Don is a graduate of Hallettsville High School and holds a degree in journalism from Southwest Texas State University. He owns the New Era Gallery where he does custom picture framing.

"I attribute my love of reading to having been read to as a child by parents who were readers. Although I have eclectic reading tastes, I am partial to mysteries due to an early introduction to the Bobbsey Twins and Hardy Boys."
